Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill: A Culinary Gem in Texas City

I found this location on the outskirts between Houston and Galveston. I must say it is a very nice location with a great atmosphere. The ambiance is very bright and beautiful, and it overlooks the lagoon. The food was really good. The garlic hummus was delicious. I really enjoyed my Rasta Pasta, and the Angry Bird chicken sandwich was very tasty and really well seasoned. I can’t finish this review without mentioning Anaya C. She was a great waitress and a very customer focused, and friendly person. She was attentive, helpful, and made sure we enjoyed our lunch experience. Thank you Anaya C. and thank you Blue Lagoon in Texas City for a great meal and experience. We are already making plans to return.

This was our first time dining here, and we’re so glad to have this spot as a new go to! Malik was our server and he was exceptional knowledgeable, attentive, and an absolute pleasure to chat with throughout our meal. We started with the Mahi Mahi tacos, which were perfectly seasoned and mouthwateringly good. My husband had the blackened grilled chicken sandwich, which was full of flavor, and I went with the tenderloin sliders so good! The mushrooms were a great touch, and we appreciated that they use high quality cuts of fish and steak in their dishes. I don’t drink alcohol, so I asked if they could create a mocktail and they delivered! It was delicious, light, and tasted like a Jolly Rancher (but not overly sweet). Check out the pic below! Between the great service, beautiful view, incredible food, and Malik’s company, this was an all-around wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Our food was on point. Staff was friendly, and Alicia did a fantastic job. Our drinks were never empty and she smiled the whole time. Highly recommend the stuffed flounder, and redfish. Very nice restaurant and excellent vibe.

Nice place! We were moving someone into the nearby apartments and needed to grab some food at the end of our day. We figured it would be a small place with concession type food near the pool area. But nope! It was an actual dining room with a wonderful menu and lots of dishes to choose from. We felt bad thinking we were way under dressed for them, but they were totally fine with us and accommodating. We really enjoyed our lunch here. Very polite service.

We enjoyed an EXCELLENT evening out last night. A friend of ours invited my wife and I to a food and cocktail pairing, and it was such a good time. The event was at the Blue Lagoon restaurant in Texas City, our first time there but definitely not the last. The atmosphere was very nice and the food and cocktails were AMAZING!!! Rebecca Creek whiskey, Texas Ranger whiskey, and Enchanted Rock vodka were the featured alcohols and the bar tenders really knew how to mix a great drink. The chef came to join us between each course to explain his pairing of the food with the drinks and he not only did a great job on the cooking, the pairing explanation was quite interesting. I would highly recommend the Blue Lagoon restaurant if you are in the Texas City area.

Krista made wonderful drinks and chef Ken's dishes were outstanding and delicious! We will be back soon to share another fantastic meal with friends.

It's absolutely a beautiful place. They need to work on the food. The presentation was good ,but there is something missing with the food. It was a very nice place to hang out . The atmosphere was great, the srevices were good,the food needed a little more work. Will I return? Yes.

It's absolutely an amazing spot with family or friends.. Go early and stay all day. The restaurant and food truck options are great. Don't forget you suntan lotions.
